As per the reply filed by way of affidavit of Varinder Pal Singh, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub Division Shahkot, District Jalandhar (Rural), the statements of the petitioners have been recorded, which have been appended as Annexure R-1/2 and R-2/T, wherein they have specifically stated that they do not want any action against anybody for seeking protection. They have also stated that they do not apprehend any danger from anybody and hence do not want any police protection.

In view thereof the present petition has been rendered infructuous.
