***** AMAN CHAUDHARY, J. (ORAL) 1. Learned counsel submits that since the petitioners were promoted to the post of Supervisor, their period of probation in terms of Rule 7 of Punjab Civil Services (General and Common Conditions of Service) Rules, 1994, have to be considered as one year instead of 3 years, regarding which, a legal notice dated 25.11.2024, Annexure P-6, has been served upon respondents, however, the same has yet not evoked any response. He thus, on instructions prays that a direction may be given to the respondents to decide the same in a time bound manner, to which learned State counsel has no objection to the limited prayer made. 2.
In view of the above and without commenting on the merits of the case, this petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to the respondents to decide the legal notice dated 25.11.2024, within a period of 4 months, which this Court has no reason to believe the authorities would not address in a just, fair and reasonable manner. Upon doing so, after notice and hearing offered to them and if MOHIT 2025.04.
CWP-10204-2025 (O&M) -2found entitled, grant the benefit forthwith. Needless to say, if the orders are adverse to their interest, the same shall contain reasons and the petitioners shall be free to seek legal redress thereupon.
