On the asking of the Court, Mr. R.P.S. Sidhu, Assistant Advocate General, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of respondents - State. Let a copy of the petition be supplied to him during the course of the day. 3.

By virtue of the instant petition preferred under Section 482 Cr.P.C., petitioner has sought appropriate direction(s) to respondent No.2 - Commissioner of Police, Amritsar City.

The contention of learned counsel for the petitioner is that though representation dated November 03, 2016 (Annexure P-2) was moved to Commissioner of Police, Amritsar City, but till date, no action has been taken.

The instant petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.2 - Commissioner of Police, Amritsar City, to look into the grievances unfolded by the petitioner in representation dated November 03, 2016 (Annexure P-2) and if some substance is found, to take appropriate action in accordance with law, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. 6.

It is however directed that enquiry be entrusted to some gazetted officer of the rank of ACP/ DSP.
