(Oral) The instant writ petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus for directing respondent No.3 (District Development and Panchayat Officer, Ludhiana) to defreeze the accounts of Gram Panchayat, Dhanansu, District Ludhiana.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the accounts of previous Gram Panchayat were freezed by the State and since the new Gram Panchayat has already been formed, the accounts are required to be defrezzed.

After arguing for some time, learned counsel for the petitioner prays that he may be permitted to withdraw the instant writ petition with HIMANI GUPTA 2025.04.11 16:47 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document/judgment High Court, Chandigarh

CWP-10500-2025 (O&M) -2liberty to the petitioner to approach the Director, Department of Rural Development and Panchayat, Punjab with the prayer as made in the instant writ petition.

In view of the above, the present writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn with the liberty aforesaid.

It goes without saying that in case any such representation is submitted by the petitioner, the same shall be considered by the Director, Department of Rural Development and Panchayat, Punjab within a period of four weeks from the date of submission of such representation. 6.
