This is petition filed by Ms. Payal seeking protection to her life and liberty.

Learned counsel for the private respondents submits that petitioner who is daughter of respondents No.5 & 6, is major and staying away from them as she has been allured by Vishal Tyagi. Petitioner, who is present in Court, rebut this contention of learned counsel for private respondent and stated that she is graduate and is competent to maintain herself and wants to live separate from her parents. CRM-M-42781-2016 -2Efforts were made for amicable settlement but the same could not yield any result.

The dispute resolves around security and liberty of petitioner, who is major. She cannot be compelled to live with her parents or any other person against her wishes. In order to ensure her security and liberty this petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.3-Superintendent of Police, Ambala to look into the representation Annexure P-1 made by petitioner and take appropriate action in accordance with law. However, it is made clear that nothing contained in this order shall be read as giving protection to the petitioner against any legal action initiated against her or for the action taken as per order of any authority competent under law.
