***** ARCHANA PURI, J. (Oral) At this stage, counsel for the respondent has given a statement that the respondent has no objection, if the transfer application is accepted and the divorce petition, as prayed for is transferred from Family Court, Pathankot to Amritsar.

From the contents of the application, it is evident that one daughter born from the wedlock of the parties, who is about 20 years old, is residing with the respondent. On account of matrimonial dispute, the applicant has filed petition under Section 144 of Bharatiya Nagarik Surkasha Sanhita as well as petition under Sections 12, 18, 19, 20, 21 and 22 of Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, which are pending in the courts at Amritsar and the respondent is making appearance in the same. Considering the aforesaid factual position and also taking into consideration the statement given by the counsel for the respondent, the Sonu 2025.11.12 09:52 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document

TA-505-2025 transfer application is allowed and the petition under Section 13 of the Hindu Marriage Act i.e. HMA/279/2023, titled 'Gurpreet Singh v/s Inderjeet Kaur', filed by the respondent-husband, stands transferred from the Family Court, Pathankot, to the Court of competent jurisdiction at Amritsar. The requisite record of the aforesaid case be sent by the Family Court, Pathankot, to the District and Sessions Judge, Amritsar. Learned District and Sessions Judge, Amritsar, shall assign the said petition to the Family Court, Amritsar. Even, the parties are directed to appear before the Family Court, Amritsar, within a period of one month from today onwards.
