This is a third petition for pre-arrest bail in a case registered against the petitioner vide FIR No. 04 dated 01.01.2015 registered under sections 406, 420, 365, 342, 506 & 120B IPC at police station Nakodar, district Jalandhar.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he has been falsely implicated in the case. According to him, petitioner is doing the business of Event Management and is not a travel agent. Thus, he deserves the concession of pre-arrest bail. I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner. Allegation against the petitioner is that he alongwith his accomplices Gurjinder Singh Cheema and Monica Malik took `2,50,000/- and passport from the Gurdeep Singh complainant with the promise to send him to Canada. However, he was sent to Bagdogra in West Bengal where he was confined in some unknown place. Petitioner alongwith his co-accused had forced the complainant to make a call to his family members that he had reached Canada and received the remaining amount from them. CRM M-4279 of 2016 Later, he was sent to Nepal and was subjected to physical and mental torture. However, after some time he managed to come back. It appears that allegations in the FIR are serious in nature. This court is of the considered view that petitioner is not entitled to discretionary relief of anticipatory bail. Petition is, thus, without any merit and is hereby dismissed.
