The petitioner through instant petition under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondent to release her insurance claim.

The petitioner is husband of the deceased who passed away on 14.10.2017 due to cancer. She was the holder of postal life insurance policy issued by the Department of Posts. He submitted his claim with the respondent which was rejected vide order dated 01.08.2022 on the ground that the deceased was suffering from multiple gall stones prior to taking the policy.

On being pointed out, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw petition with liberty to avail alternative remedies as permissible by law.
