HARINDER SINGH SIDHU, J Vide order dated 29.07.2020, the petitioner was granted interim anticipatory bail subject to his depositing a sum of Rs.1,57,000/- with the Registry of this Court with a view to show his bonafide. Learned counsel for the petitioner states that the amount has since been deposited.

Learned State counsel, on instructions from ASI Nand Lal, submits that the petitioner has joined investigation and he is no longer required for his further custodial interrogation. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner states that he has no objection if the aforesaid amount deposited with the Registry of this Court is released to the complainant on his furnishing adequate surety/bank guarantee in this respect.

CRM-M-20872 of 2020 #2# In the circumstances, the aforesaid amount be released to the complainant-respondent No.2 on filing of adequare surety/bank guarantee. In the event of petitioner having been absolved of the charges levelled against him, the amount shall be returned by the respondent-complainant to the petitioner.
