Learned State counsel, on instructions, submits that the petitioner's candidature was cancelled by the Department vide letter dated 24.1.2024, a copy whereof has been furnished to learned counsel for the petitioner. He, accordingly, seeks permission to withdraw the petition with liberty to file a fresh one challenging the cancellation, if so advised. Permission is granted.

Dismissed as withdrawn with liberty prayed for.
