[1] The matter is taken up for hearing through vide conference due to COVID-19 situation.

[2] The petitioners have approached this Court seeking protection of their life and liberty, pleading that petitioner Nos.1 and 2 have performed marriage against the wishes of parents and family members of petitioner No.1 and there is threat to their life and liberty. [3] Notice of motion.

[4] Mr. Pawan Sharda, Sr. D.A.G., Punjab accepts notice on behalf of the respondents No.1 to 3.

[5] Learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted a representation dated 24.07.2020 (Annexure P-3) to the Senior Superintendent of Police, District Mukatsar Sahib, seeking PANKAJ BAWEJA 2020.07.30 00:57 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document High court, chandigarh

CRWP No.5408 of 2020 -2necessary protection but no action has been taken so far in the matter.

[6] Without examining the question of validity of marriage of the petitioners, the present petition stands disposed of with a direction to the Senior Superintendent of Police, District Mukatsar Sahib to look into the grievance of the petitioners expressed in the representation and take appropriate action, if so warranted.
