This is an application seeking for placing on record certain documents. For the reasons stated in the application, the same is hereby allowed and the documents (Annexures A1 to A9) annexed with the application are taken on record.

The instant petition has been filed by the petitioner for directions to the respondents No.1 to 3 to protect his life and liberty from the respondents No. 4 to 7.

The learned counsel representing the petitioner submits that the petitioner has filed a representation dated 24.03.2025 (Annexure P3) before the respondent No.1. The learned counsel prays for directions to the DEEPAK KUMAR BHARDWAJ 2026.03.24 18:28 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document respondent No.3-Deputy Inspector General of Police, Bathinda Range,

Criminal Writ Petition No. 3531 of 2025 (O&M) District Bathinda to decide the above mentioned representation within a stipulated time.

Notice of motion to respondents No. 1 to 3 only. 4.

Since advance notice has already been served upon the State, Mr. I.P.S.Sabharwal, Deputy Advocate General, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents No.1 to 3. Hence, service of notice upon the respondents No.1 to 3 is hereby dispensed with. 5.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that a direction for disposing of the representation of the petitioner (Annexure P3) be given to the respondent No.2 and that the instant writ petition be disposed of accordingly.

Keeping in view the aforesaid facts, the present writ petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to the respondent No.3-Deputy Inspector General of Police, Bathinda Range, District Bathinda to decide the representation of the petitioner (Annexure P3) at his own level by passing a speaking order within a period of one month from the date of receipt of copy of instant order. It is however clarified that no finding is being returned, by this Court, with regard to merits of the contents of representation. The respondent No.3 shall be at liberty to make an independent assessment with regard to contents of representation of the petitioner, and take an independent decision at his own level.
