Learned State counsel on instructions from ASI Parminder Pal submits that out of 12 witnesses, prosecution has already examined/given up 11 witnesses and only clerk from the office of DTO is to be examined. The next date fixed is 15.12.2017 and after examining the Clerk from DTO office, the prosecution evidence will be concluded. Report to this effect has also been received from the trial Court. None has appeared for the petitioner. In view of submission of learned State counsel and report from the trial Court, I find no reason to extend the benefit of regular bail to the petitioner at this stage. As such, the present petition is dismissed with direction to the trial Court to expedite the trial of the case and dispose of the same at the earliest.
