(ORAL) ase heard via Vide this petition, the petitioner seeks the concession of 'regular bail' under the provisions of Section 439 of the Cr.P.C., upon FIR no.269, dated 25.09.2016, having been registered at Police Station Sector 31, Chandigarh, alleging therein the commission of an offence punishable under Section 395 of the IPC (with Section 302 of the IPC added later), this being petition the 2nd such petition filed by the petitioner, the first one filed by him seeking a similar relief having been dismissed on 25.11.2019, in view of the fact that at that stage only one prosecution witness was left to be examined. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner having been convicted for the offences in question, this petition has been rendered infructuous.
