The plaintiff's application for permission to carry out formal amendments in the plaint in order to correct the typographical errors has been dismissed.

The plaintiff wants to substitute the word "plaintiff" in place of applicants and "defendants" in place of the respondents. Such amendment are purely of technical nature and cannot be called substantive amendments affecting the rights of parties, in any manner. Such amendments can be allowed at any stage of the proceedings, even after the decision of the suit. In view of the recent judgment rendered by the Supreme Court in Life Insurance Corporation of India v. Sanjeev Builders Private Limited and Another 2022 SCC online SC 1128 and Varun Pahwa v.
