IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA AT

CHANDIGARH C.W.P. No. 11748 of 2022 Date of Decision:- 27.05.2022 RADHAY SHYAM ....Petitioner vs.

UNION OF INDIA AND OTHERS ....Respondents *** BEFORE :- HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE SUDHIR MITTAL *** Present:- Mr.Y.S. Turka, Advocate, for the petitioner.

Mr. Ankur Shrma, Sr. Panel Counsel for UOI, for respondents No. 1 and 2.

*** Sudhir Mittal, J. (Oral) The petitioner was allegedly in a relationship with respondent No.3 and she allegedly cheated him. Meanwhile, he has come to know that she obtained a passport by concealing material particulars and thus, a representation has been made to the passport authorities to impound her passport. However, no action has been taken thereupon.

The petitioner is not the husband of respondent No.3 nor does he have any legal relationship with her. Whether he has been cheated by her or not is a disputed question of fact which cannot be decided in this writ petition. It is not even in issue in this writ petition. Obviously, complaint for impounding her passport has been filed on account of some personal vendetta. In view of the above, the petitioner has no locus standi to maintain the writ petition.

It is accordingly dismissed.
