The present petition has been filed by the petitioners under Section 528 of BNSS for quashing of FIR No.26 dated 10.02.2025 under Sections 420 and 120-B IPC registered at Police Station Model Town, District Police Commissionerate Ludhiana and all the consequential proceedings arising therefrom. The basis for seeking this relief is the compromise deed dated 27.03.2025 (Annexure P-2), whereby they claim to have settled their differences with complainant/respondent No.2. 2.

Ms. Sukhvir Gill, Advocate appears and filed her Vakalatnama on behalf of the complainant and confirms the factum of the compromise having been effected between the parties and states that respondent No. 2 has no objection to the quashing of the FIR in question. 3.

Learned State counsel states that no other FIR has been registered against the petitioners and they have no known criminal antecedents.

In view of the above, even if this case is taken to its logical conclusion, it would only be an exercise in futility as the parties have already SONIA BURA 2025.04.10 12:55 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CRM-M-19873-2025 settled their differences. Therefore, no purpose would be served in wasting the time and resources of the State in pursuing this case to its pre-ordained end. It would, therefore, be better to give a quietus to the issue at this stage. 5.

Accordingly, the petition is allowed, and FIR No.26 dated 10.02.2025 under Sections 420 and 120-B IPC registered at Police Station Model Town, District Police Commissionerate, Ludhiana and all other consequential proceedings arising therefrom shall stand quashed qua the petitioners.
