(ORAL) This petition has been filed by the petitioner under Section 438 Cr.P.C. seeking anticipatory bail in case bearing FIR No.34 dated 27.05.2021 under Sections 22-C, 29, 61, 85 of the NDPS Act, 1985, registered at Police Station Khem Karan, District Tarn Taran. Short reply by way of an affidavit dated 16.09.2023 of the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub-Division Valtoha, Camp at Bhikiwind, District Tarn Taran, filed on behalf of the respondent-State, in the Court, is taken on record. A copy thereof has been supplied to the learned counsel opposite.

Vide order dated 18.05.2023 passed by a Coordinate Bench of this Court, the petitioner had been granted ad interim pre-arrest bail and directed to join the investigation.

CRM-M-22507-2023 (O&M) -2Learned State counsel, on instructions from ASI Dilbagh Singh, submits that the petitioner has joined the investigation and is now not required for any further investigation.

In view of the above, without commenting on the merits of the case, the present petition is allowed and the order dated 18.05.2023 granting interim bail to the petitioner, is made absolute, subject to the conditions laid down in Section 438 (2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
