&&&&  % & Petitioner-Gurmeet Singh, has filed this petition under Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 for grant of anticipatory bail in case FIR No.111 dated 04.08.2017, registered at Police Station Guru Har Sahai, District Ferozepur, under Sections 420 and 120-B of the Indian Penal Code.

I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner and have gone through the record.

From the record, I find that as per prosecution version FIR has been registered against the present petitioner along with co-accused regarding cheating on accounting of sending abroad. It is stated by the complainant that she is doing labour work and is widow lady. It is further stated that present petitioner, Gurmeet Singh, talked with her son Harmesh Singh that you should come to Kuwait and he will take visa for him within 15-20 days. As per the FIR, Rs.1,60,000/- was paid to Sukhjit Singh and after taking the said amount, Sukhjit Singh went to Kuwait but no visa was arranged.

Keeping in view the facts and circumstances of the present case, nature and gravity of the offence and that the petitioner is required for custodial interrogation, I do not find it a fit case where the petitioner is entitled to benefit of anticipatory bail.

Therefore, finding no merit in the instant petition, the same is dismissed.
