PANKAJ JAIN, J. (ORAL) CRM-W-668-2022 The instant application has been filed in compliance of earlier order dated 30th May, 2022, for placing on record affidavits of the petitioners indicating that it is a first marriage of both the petitioners. For the reasons mentioned in the application, the same is allowed. Affidavits of both the petitioners annexed with the application are taken on record subject to all just exceptions. CRWP-5182-2022 By way of present petition filed under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India, petitioners are seeking issuance of direction to respondents No.2 and 3 to protect their life and liberty at the hands of respondents No.4 to 6.

As per petitioners, they have married on 23rd May, 2022 against the wishes of respondents No.4 to 6, who happen to be the relatives of petitioner No.1.

Both the petitioners claim themselves to be major stating that petitioner No.1-Simran Kaur is born on 5th March, 2003 and petitioner No.2-Balwinder Singh is born on 19th May, 1995 as per their Aadhar Cards and certificate issued by the Gurudwara. Without commenting on the legality and validity of the marriage, I deem it appropriate to direct respondent No.2 (Senior Superintendent of Police, Ludhiana) to consider the representation dated 23rd May, 2022 (Annexure P-6) filed by the petitioners.

Keeping in view the fact that both the petitioners claim to have married, I think that if possible, respondent No.2 may call a meeting of the petitioners as well as respondents No.4 to 6 in his presence, so that the parties get rid off their ill feelings and live amicably. 7.

The petition stands disposed off.
