Mr. Akashdeep Singh, Addl. P.P. U.T. Chandigarh. KARAMJIT SINGH , J. (Oral) The counsel for U.T. Chandigarh submitted that matter was enquired into and it was found to be a case of non-cognizable offence and accordingly the application moved by the petitioners has been filed by the U.T. Police.
The present petition has been filed by the petitioners seeking directions to respondents No.1 and 2 to protect their lives, liberty and property at the respondents No.4 to 7.
The present petition is hereby disposed of with direction to respondent No.2-SSP, Chandigarh to look into the matter and to assess the threat perception, if any, and to provide necessary protection if the situation so warrants.
