The present writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India has been filed seeking issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus seeking direction to respondents No.2 and 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner at the hands of respondents No.4 to 10. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that for redressal of her grievance, the petitioner has already filed representations dated 16.03.2026 and 28.03.2026 (Annexures P-3 & P-4 respectively) before the Senior Superintendent of Police, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, however, no action has been taken on the same till date. 3.

Without commenting upon the merits of the case and in view of the submission made by learned counsel for the petitioner, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No. 2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, to decide the representations dated 16.03.2026 and 28.03.2026 (Annexures P-3 & P-4 respectively) filed by the petitioner, qua threat perception in accordance with law within a period of one month from today and grant immediate protection, if any threat to the life and liberty of the petitioner, is perceived. 6.

It is being clarified that this order shall not be taken to grant immunity to the petitioner for legal action for violation of law, if any, committed by her.
