JASGURPREET SINGH PURI , J. (ORAL ) Petitioners claim that they have attained majority and married against the wishes of their family members. Apprehending threat to their life and liberty, they have filed the present petition for protection. Petition is supported by affidavit of petitioner No.1 (girl) only. Learned counsel for the petitioners has referred to para 11 of the petition where it is stated that it is first marriage of the petitioners and they were unmarried earlier.

Notice of motion to the office of Advocate General, Haryana.

On asking of the Court, Mr.Naveen Singh Panwar, DAG, Haryana, accepts notice on behalf of the State. Copy stands supplied. The petitioners have placed on record the copies of their Aadhar Cards (Annexures P-3 and P-4) as proof of their age and copy of certificate (Annexure P-1) and photograph (Annexure P-2) regarding performance of marriage.

This petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3 - the Station House Officer - SHO, Police Station Ramthali, District Kaithal, that representation, if any, filed seeking protection of life and liberty, be got looked into and contents thereof be duly verified and if necessary, requisite steps be taken, strictly in accordance with law for grant of protection of life and liberty to the petitioners. It is made clear that this order shall not be treated as a stamp of this Court regarding validity of marriage of the parties.
