5 . 6 "Petitioner seeks anticipatory bail in case arising out of FIR No 0007 dated 22.01.2026 under Sections 137(2) and 96 Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, Police Station Rawalpindi District Kapurthala. This is the first petition for anticipatory bail. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner was brother of main accused Nazir with whom daughter of the complainant had eloped. Petitioner was residing separately from his brother and parents in SBS Nagar and had nothing to do with the activities of his brother. Pregnant wife of the petitioner had already been arrested by the police, though she was not named in the FIR. He further submits that petitioner who had clean antecedents was ready and willing to join investigation.

In the meantime, in the event of arrest, the petitioner shall be released on interim anticipatory bail subject to his furnishing personal and surety bonds to the satisfaction of the Arresting/Investigating Officer. Petitioner shall join investigation as and when called upon to do so and shall abide by the conditions as envisaged under Section 482(2) of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023."
