Mr. Gurcharan Dass, Advocate for the petitioner. **** ANUPINDER SINGH GREWAL, J. (ORAL) The petitioner is seeking issuance of a writ directing respondent No.2 to consider and promote the petitioner to the post of Assistant Manager with all consequential benefits.

Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the petitioner, who is working as Accountant, is entitled to the promotion as Assistant Manager with effect from the date his juniors were promoted. He further states that he has sent a legal notice (Annexure P-9) to the respondents and prays that the petition may be disposed of with a direction to respondents to consider and decide the same.

Issue notice to the respondents.
