Challenge in the present petition is to the acquisition of land whereby notification under Sections 4 and 6 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 (for short "1894 Act") were issued on 09.08.2004 and 10.02.2005, respectively. The validity of Section 23(1) of 1894 Act, has also been challenged. The writ petition was adjourned sine die on 10.05.2007. The writ petition was directed to be heard alongwith CWP No.3820 of 2005. However , it remained pending, though CWP No.3820 of 2005 titled as "Gian Kaur and others Vs. State of Punjab etc." was dismissed by this Court alongwith bunch of other petitions involving identical issues on 03.05.2011 with the main judgment in CWP No.4034 of SAVITA KADIAN 2018.09.25 12:26 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document High Court Chandigarh
