Mr. D.S. Dhanoa, Advocate for the complainant. The present petition has been filed seeking grant of regular bail to the petitioner in case FIR No.74 dated 13.06.2025 (Annexure P-1), under Sections 109, 117(2), 74, 76, 79, 3(5) and 61(2) of BNS, 2023, registered at Police Station IT City, SAS Nagar, Punjab.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the only role attributed to the petitioner is that he was sitting in the car along with the main accused-Jagdeep, who drove the car and ran over the legs of Akhilesh and admittedly there is some property dispute between Jagdeep and the employer of Akhilesh. It is further submitted that the inter se dispute between the Jagdeep and the employer of Akhilesh has been resolved for which a petition qua quashing of the FIR on the basis of compromise has
already been filed and hence, prays for grant the concession of regular bail to the petitioner.

Learned State counsel has submitted that the petitioner has a chequered history and is a habitual offender. Learned State counsel further submits that the petitioner has 16 cases and he claims to be the kingpin of the area for his notorious activities, however, could not deny the fact that in various cases, the petitioner has been either acquitted or discharged but emphasized that he was convicted in three FIRs and is facing trial in few cases.

On a specific query with regard to the allegations against the petitioner in the present FIR, learned State counsel could not deny the fact that the only role attributed to him is that he was sitting in the car with the main accused Jagdeep.
