The present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus for directing official respondents No.2 and 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners at the hands of private respondents No.4 to 9 and further to decide the representation dated 25.03.2026 (Annexure P-3) already filed by them before respondent No.2.

At the very outset, learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that he would be satisfied if appropriate directions are issued to respondent No.2 to decide or take necessary action on the aforesaid representation dated 25.03.2026 (Annexure P-3) filed by the petitioners raising their grievance which has not been considered and no action has been taken till now.

In view of the limited prayer made by the petitioners, without commenting anything on the merits of the case, the present petition is disposed of at this stage with a direction to respondent No.2 to decide the aforesaid representation dated 25.03.2026 (Annexure P-3) of the petitioners within a period of one month from today, by passing a speaking order in accordance with law.
