-.- JAISHREE THAKUR J. (ORAL) This is a petition that has been filed for issuance of a writ in the nature of habeas corpus directing respondents No.1 to 4 to produce the detenue-Priyanka wife of the petitioner, who is alleged to be in the illegal custody of respondents No.5 and 6.

Pursuant to notice of motion having been issued, reply by way of affidavit of Gurbakshish Singh, DSP, Dera Bassi has been filed on behalf of respondents No.1, 3 and 4.

Counsel for the respondent-State would rely upon para No.5 of the said reply wherein it has been stated the alleged detenue Priyanka was subjected to cruelty at the hands of the petitioner and therefore, a panchayat was convened wherein it was decided that the petitioner herein and the detenue would part ways and live separately.

I have heard learned counsel for the parties and have perused the reply filed by the respondent-State.

CRWP No.5446 of 2020 (O&M) -2The detenue has shown her unwillingness to return to the petitioner and therefore, this Court finds no ground to issue any writ in the nature of habeas corpus for production of the detenue. The instant petition stands disposed of.
