Amol Rattan Singh, J (Oral) CRM No.34790 of 2019 Pursuant to the order dated 22.08.2019, this application has been filed by the petitioner, seeking to place on record the MLR in respect of the injuries stated to have been sustained by respondent No.2 - Dilbag Singh.

CRM-M-20660 of 2019 [2] photocopy of the MLR is ordered to be taken on record as Annexure P-5 with the accompanying petition, subject to all just exceptions. Main Case A perusal of the MLR shows that infact the injuries stated to have been received by respondent No.2 are not on any vital part of the body, nor are they of a nature that would normally invoke the inclusion of an offence punishable under Section 307 of the IPC. Infact, today, learned State counsel submits that commission of the said offence has since been deleted from the FIR. That being so and the matter having been amicably compromised between the petitioners and respondent No.2, with the statements of the parties also having been recorded before the learned SDJM, Patti, whose report to that effect, dated 03.08.

2019, is also on record, that court having recorded that the statement of respondent No.2 was to the effect that he had entered into such compromise without any pressure or coercion, there would be no reason to continue with criminal proceedings against the petitioner, looking into the entire circumstances. Consequently, the petition is allowed. FIR No.0098, dated 31.05.2018, registered for the alleged commission of offences punishable under Sections 341, 323, 148, 149 IPC, at Police Station, Sadar Patti, District Tarn Taran, and all subsequent proceedings arising therefrom, is hereby quashed.
