(ORAL) Learned counsel for the petitioners states that the petitioners were entitled for the grant of one additional increment in view of the fact that the petitioners were discharging the duties of a higher post and under Rule 4.4 (2) (c) (i) Vol-I, Part-I of the Punjab Civil Services Rules, the petitioners are entitled for the said benefit. Further in support of the claim, the petitioners are relying upon the order passed by this Court in CWP No. 3922 of 2011 titled as 'Narender Pal Singh Arya and another Vs. State of Haryana and others, decided on 03.10.2016. Without commenting upon the merits of the case or about the entitlement of the petitioners for the relief which has been claimed by them in the legal notice dated 07.02.2019 (Annexure P-4), the present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to decide the legal notice dated 07.02.2019 (Annexure P-4) within a period of three months from the receipt of certified copy of this order. In case, it is found that the petitioners are entitled for any monetary benefits after the decision of the legal notice, the same should also be paid to them within three months thereafter.
