The petitioners seek issuance of directions to the official respondents so as to protect their lives and liberty as they apprehend threat to the same at the hands of the private respondents No.5 to 21.

Having heard learned counsel for the petitioners and while refraining from making any expression as regards merits of the case or as regards veracity of averments made in the petition, the instant petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3 - Superintendent of Police, Kaithal, District Kaithal, Haryana to look into the matter and to get the representation dated 2.3.2023 (Annexure P-4) examined to the limited extent of alleged threat perception of the petitioners. In case, it is found that there is any genuine threat to the lives and liberty of the petitioners, then necessary steps as warranted under law be taken thereupon at the earliest.
