RAMENDRA JAIN, J. (ORAL) Through this petition under Section 439 Cr.P.C. prayer has been made for grant of regular bail to the petitioner in a case arising from FIR No.111 dated 24.05.2018 registered under Sections 326, 324, 506, 148, 149 IPC and (Section 307 IPC added later on) at Police Station City Patti, District Tarn Taran.

According to the prosecution, on 16.05.2018 petitioners caused injuries on the hip and left leg of complainant Hira Singh with kappa (sharp edged instrument used for agricultural purposes). Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that both the alleged injuries suffered by complainant are not on his vital part. Petitioners are in custody since 24.06.2018. Framing of charge and conclusion of trial may take a sufficient long time. No useful purpose would be served by detaining the petitioners in jail any more.

On the other hand, learned State counsel vehemently opposed RAVINDER SINGH 2018.10.12 17:20 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document

Consequently, petitioners are ordered to be released on bail, on their furnishing bail bonds and surety bonds to the satisfaction of Trial Court/Duty Magistrate concerned.
