(Oral) Today, at the outset, the learned State counsel has informed that as of now 20 witnesses out of the cited 22 prosecution witnesses have already been examined and the trial is virtually at its fag end. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he may be permitted to withdraw the present petition.

In view of the aforesaid submission, the present petition is dismissed as withdrawn. The prosecution is, however, directed to conclude prosecution evidence preferably within a period of 2 months from today.
