The petitioner, pursuant to the interim order dated 19.12.2015 has joined the investigation as per the instructions imparted to the learned State counsel by ASI Kulwant Singh. Since the allegations of illegalities in the functioning of the Municipal Council, Jind regarding financial loss to the State are of the year 2008-2009; the petitioner having joined the investigation, it does not appear to be a case where custodial interrogation is required.

Accordingly, the petition is allowed and interim order dated 19.12.2015 is hereby confirmed and it is ordered that in case of arrest of the petitioner, he will be released on bail to the satisfaction of the arresting officer subject to the condition that he will join the investigation as and when required by the police and will not tamper with evidence or hamper the investigation.
