The petitioner through instant petition under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondents to register his car (Make Maruti Brezza) bearing Engine No. D13A-5893159 and Chassis No. MA3NYFB1SLA623924.

The petitioner from respondent No.3 purchased a car mark Brezza on 11.01.2020 on full payment of Rs.8,35,001/-. A temporary number was issued on payment receipt of Rs.300/-. After getting the vehicle insured, petitioner was to get the vehicle registered with Regional Transport Office, Patiala. He submitted documents to respondent No.3 to get his car registered with RTO. He claims that dealership was supposed to get his vehicle registered with RTO, Patiala but he did not pay any heed to his consecutive requests.

Learned State counsel expressed his inability to controvert the fact that petitioner has complied with all the conditions stipulated in Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 as well as by Hon'ble Supreme Court in 'MC Mehta Vs. Union of India and Ors.' Law Finder Doc ID#1983245. 4.

As petitioner has complied with all the conditions stipulated in Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 as well as MC Mehta (supra), the respondent is hereby directed to consider petitioner's request and address his grievance within eight weeks from today.
