( ORAL) The instant petition has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. seeking quashing of FIR No.0031 dated 12.05.2017 registered under Section 498-A IPC at Police Station Women Cell, Sector-17, Chandigarh on the basis of compromise dated 11.01.2022 (Annexure P-2) between the parties. Learned counsel for respondent No.2 submits that a joint petition under Section 13-B of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 was filed, which has been allowed by Additional District Judge, Chandigarh on 17.02.2023. Learned Public Prosecutor upon instructions from ASI Rajni submits that the petitioner has been acquitted by the trial Court on 30.11.2023, as such, the present petition has become infructuous.
In view of the above, the present petition stands disposed of as having been rendered infructuous.
