Present:

This is a petition filed under Section 439 Cr.P.C. seeking regular bail in a case registered against the petitioner vide FIR No. 154 dated 16.12.2016 under sections 420, 120-B, 467, 468, 471 IPC at Police Station Lehra district Sangrur. Petitioner is incarcerated since 06.09.2017. Case is triable by Magistrate. Admittedly, investigation has been completed and trial is in progress. Thus, no useful purpose would be served by detaining the petitioner in custody during the pendency of trial.
Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this court feels that petitioner deserves to be enlarged on bail. Accordingly, petition is allowed and petitioner is directed to be enlarged on bail to the satisfaction of Chief Judicial Magistrate/Duty Magistrate Sangrur and/or any other condition(s) as it may deem fit to impose.
