(ORAL) In a complaint under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 filed against the petitioner, bail was cancelled as he did not appear on a particular date. Thus, he filed an application for grant of anticipatory bail which was dismissed by the Additional Sessions Judge, Faridkot on the ground that the petition was not maintainable. Thus, the present petition has been filed.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he may be permitted to withdraw this petition with liberty to avail any other appropriate remedy available in law.
