***** GURVINDER SINGH GILL, J.(Oral) Today, at the very outset, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he may be permitted to withdraw the present petition. In view of the aforesaid request, the present petition is dismissed as withdrawn.

Since it has been informed by learned State counsel that as on date 4 out of cited 13 PWs have already been examined and the remaining PWs are formal official witnesses and that the petitioner as on date has been behind bars since the last about 3 years, the Trial Court is directed to take all such necessary steps as may be possible to record the statements of remaining PWs at the earliest, so that the trial is concluded within the shortest possible time.
