Petitioners have filed this petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. against State of Punjab and other respondents for issuance of directions to official respondents No.1 to 4 to ensure that no harm is caused to the life, personal liberty and dignity of the petitioners and the relatives of petitioner No.1 etc. by respondents No.5 to 11. Notice of motion was issued in this case and learned State counsel as well as learned counsel for respondents No.5 to 11 appeared and contested the petition.

I have heard learned counsel for the parties as well as learned State counsel and have gone through the record. From the record, I find that earlier vide order dated VINEET GULATI 2016.02.08 17:01 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh

CRM No.M-43313 of 2014 -218.12.2014, the order was passed by this Court while giving the liberty to the petitioners to approach Senior Superintendent of Police, Tarn Taran for protection as per the instructions dated 10.08.2010 issued by the Home Department, Punjab, who will look into their representation dated 16.12.2014.

In the petition, the petitioners have stated that they have married with each other and it is a inter caste marriage and respondents No.5 to 11 are giving threats etc. to them. Learned State counsel contended that the police has recorded statements of the petitioners that they are not feeling further threat and they do not want the security. Learned counsel for respondents No.5 to 11 contended that the private respondents are not giving any threat to the petitioners.

The petitioners are present in the Court in-person along with counsel. The petitioners stated that they still feel threat to their life.

Keeping in view the facts and circumstances of the present case and without going into the validity of the marriage, the present petition is disposed of with the directions to the petitioners to contact respondent Nos.2 and 3, who, after their satisfaction that the petitioners are actually facing threat, shall take necessary steps to protect the lives and liberty of the petitioners from private respondent Nos.5 to 11, as per law.
