The petitioner through instant petition under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondent to restore and regularise her electricity connection by installing a proper meter at her premises. She is further seeking direction to the respondent to decide her representation dated 14.03.2026.

The petitioner was granted a domestic electricity connection in 2018 followed by installation of an electricity meter. She claims that said meter was removed by Respondent-Department officials without any prior notice or granting her opportunity of hearing. She came to know about her pending dues which stood paid on 22.04.2021. As per petitioner, respondent took a contradictory stand by stating that there is no record of petitioner's connection in their system. Inaction on their part persuaded her to file a representation dated 14.03.2026 which is still pending.

On being pointed out that petitioner has remedy to approach Consumer Grievances Redressal Forum constituted under Electricity Act, 2003 and thereafter Ombudsman, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw the petition with liberty to approach aforesaid authorities.
