NARESH KUMAR SANGHI, J (Oral) Learned counsel for the State submits that in compliance of the directions, dated 18.11.2015, issued by this Court, Ritika and Mahesh Kumar were provided shelter in the Protection Home, Police Lines, Narnaul. Since they (Ritika and Mahesh Kumar) did not move any application for withdrawal of the protection granted to them and, as such, they are still residing in the Protection Home, Narnaul. He further submits that the District Police, Narnaul, has no objection if Ritika and Mahesh Kumar ask for withdrawal of the protection granted to them. In support of his contention, learned counsel for the State has produced the photostate copy of the Fax Message received from the Superintendent of Police, Mahendergarh at Narnaul, which is PRASHANT KAPOOR 2015.12.24 13:44 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that present petition be construed as an application/letter of request to the police for withdrawal of the protection granted to Ritika and Mahesh Kumar and in accordance with the prayer made in the present petition both of them be ordered to be released from the Protection Home, Police Lines, Narnaul.
Learned counsel for the State submits that a copy of the present petition alongwith with copy of the order passed today would be sent to the Superintendent of Police, Mahendergarh at Narnaul, immediately and Ritika and Mahesh Kumar would be allowed to leave the Protection Home, Police Lines, Narnaul, today itself, after recording their statements for withdrawal of protection.
In view of above, learned counsel for the petitioner doe not press this petition at this stage.
Ordered accordingly.
A copy of this order be supplied to learned counsel for the State under the signatures of the Bench Secretary of this Court for compliance.
