This petition has been filed seeking quashing of FIR no.126 dated 09.09.2020 (as also all other subsequent proceedings arising therefrom), registered at Police Station City Jagraon, District Ludhiana, for the alleged commission of the offences punishable under Sections 384, 387, 507 of the IPC and Section 66 (C) of the Information Technology Act, 2000; as also of the challan submitted under the provisions of Section 173 of the Cr.P.C.

Vide an order of this court dated 12.07.2021, the petitioner had been directed to give the name of the police official who, as per the contention raised by the learned counsel for the petitioner, had used the petitioners' sim card in his telephone (the police officials' mobile phone), prior to 09.09.2021.

In response thereto, CRM no.20549 of 2021 has been filed, seeking to place on record in fact an additional affidavit of the petitioner (obviously to place on record additional facts), as a supplement to the VIKAS CHANDER 2021.07.17 15:12 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

As no notice has been issued in the petition as yet, it would be more appropriate if the petitioner either amends the petition or files a fresh petition incorporating all facts therein, as he wishes to by way of the additional affidavit.

Learned counsel submits that he may be permitted to withdraw the present petition with liberty to file a fresh petition incorporating all facts that he wishes to.
