(Oral) The petitioner has approached this Court seeking issuance of direction to official respondents to protect her life and liberty as she apprehends threat to the same at the hands of respondents No.4 to 7. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner was married to respondent No.4-Rahul Kumar on 3.12.2017 but somehow the marriage did not work well and she started residing separately and in fact started working in a different city. It has been submitted that the petitioner's husband i.e. respondent No.4 as well as his other relatives i.e. MOHAN SINGH 2021.07.09 16:35 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

- 2 - CRWP-6318-2021 (O&M) respondent No.5 to 7 are however, threatening to cause harm to the petitioner.

Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and while refraining from making any expression as regards the veracity of the averments made in the petition, the petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2-Superintendent of Police, Mohali, to get the representation dated 7.7.2021 (Annexure P-3) examined qua the alleged threat perception of the petitioner. In case, it is found that there is an imminent threat to the life and liberty of the petitioner at the hands of respondents No.4 to 7, then necessary steps warranted under law be taken thereupon at the earliest so as to ensure that no harm is caused to the petitioner.
