(the aforesaid presence is being recorded through video conferencing since the proceedings are being conducted in Virtual Court) ***** GURVINDER SINGH GILL, J.(Oral) The petitioner, who is an Assistant Sub Inspector in Haryana Police, challenges order dated 26.6.2020 (Annexure P-3) vide which he has been ordered to be transferred from District Bhiwani to District Sonepat. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has 38 years of service to his credit and is due to retire on 31.5.2021 and, as such, is having less than one year before he retires. The learned counsel has submitted that as per transfer policy dated 6.10.2004 (Annexure P-1) any employee, who is to superannuate within one year, he should ideally be not transferred except for compelling circumstances. It has further been submitted that although he had made a representation (Annexure P-4) but no order has been passed thereupon.

( 2 ) CWP-11317-2020 (O&M) Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, the petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2-Director General of Police, Police Headquarter, Sector-6, Panchkula to look into the matter and to dispose of the representation (Annexure P-4) in accordance with law while consideraing the case sympathetically in view of the fact that the petitioner is due to retire within next year.

Such representation be decided expeditiously preferably within a period of 4 weeks from today.
