SURINDER GUPTA, J.(Oral) Learned counsel for petitioners submits that petitioner no. 1Manisha is 22 years of age while petitioner no. 2-Ajay is 19 years of age. They are having affair and living in 'Live in Relation'. This has infuriated parents and other family members of petitioner no. 1, who are giving threats to their life and liberty. Apprehending danger to their lives and liberty, they moved representation dated 04.10.2018 (Annexure P-3) to Senior Superintendent of Police, Batala. He confines the relief claimed in this petition for direction to respondent No.2 to look into the representation of petitioners and take appropriate action in accordance with law. In view of above submission of learned counsel for petitioners, this petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.

2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Batala, to look into the representation dated 04.10.2018 (Annexure P-3) and take appropriate action in accordance with law, on receipt of copy of this order along with representation in his office. However, it is made clear that this order will have no effect on the validity of alleged relation of petitioners or on any other civil or criminal proceedings instituted or intended against them under any law including the provisions of Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, 2006.
