Chandigarh has filed reply by way of affidavit of Parvinder Singh, IPS, Assistant Superintendent of Police (East), on behalf of respondents No. 1 to 3 in Court today and the same be taken on record.

Prayer in the instant petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is for issuance of directions to respondents No. 1 to 3 to protect their life and liberty of the petitioners at the hands of private respondents No. 4 to 8 and to provide adequate security to them.

I have heard learned counsel for the parties and carefully perused the paper-book.

CRM-M-43618-2014 -2the matter has been enquired into and report dated 23.03.2015 (Annexure R-1) has now been forwarded to respondent No. 3-Senior Superintendent of Police, Chandigarh, for appropriate action. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the private respondents No. 4 to 8 are still out to harass and issue threats to the petitioners by making false representations and interfering in their life and liberty. It is further submitted that a communication in an envelope was also sent by the private respondents and very sensational, defamatory and false allegations have been made against the petitioners. Learned APP for U.T. Chandigarh submits that the said communication has also been dealt in the enquiry report dated 23.03.2015 (Annexure R-1).

In view of the above, I am of the considered opinion that the matter does not require any further indulgence of this Court. The petitioners may move another comprehensive representation to respondent No. 3-the Senior Superintendent of Police, Chandigarh, in this regard along with copy of the aforesaid communication and on doing so, respondent No. 3 shall look into the same and take appropriate steps, in accordance with law.
