Prayer made in the present petition filed under Section 483 BNSS is for grant of interim regular bail for a period of 8 weeks to the petitioner due to demise of the mother on 21.02.2026, in case FIR No.388 dated 06.09.2024 registered under Section 20 of NDPS Act, at Police Station Gandhi Nagar, Yamuna Nagar.

Learned counsel submits that the mother of the petitioner has since passed away on 21.02.2026 and the prayer meet and last rites is going to take place on 05/06.05.2026, for which his presence is required for performing the rituals. He though has a brother, however, he is an addict. Thus, interim bail is prayed for.

Learned State counsel has produced the report by the SHO concerned as also the Rasam Kriya is to be held on 5th and 6th May, 2026 as also affirmed the factum with regard to his brother, as stated above. MOHIT 2026.04.27 18:21 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

In view of the above, the petitioner is ordered to be released on interim bail from 04.05.2026 to 07.05.2026, subject to his furnishing bail/surety bonds to the satisfaction of Chief Judicial Magistrate/Duty Magistrate concerned and to him not being required in any other case. 5.
