SURINDER GUPTA, J.(Oral) This petition is for seeking protection of life and liberty of petitioners, who alleged to have married against the wishes of respondent No.3, mother of petitioner No.1.

Learned counsel for the petitioners has limited his prayer for taking appropriate action in accordance with law on the representation dated 01.02.2017 (Annexure P-5) made by petitioner No.1. It has been stated that both the petitioners are major. The date of birth of petitioner No.1-Money Sharma is 22.07.1988 as per copy of Matriculation Examination Certificate (Annexure P-1) and that of petitioner No.2-Swaranjeet Singh is 29.11.1986 as per copy of Secondary School Examination Certificate (Annexure P-2). They got married on 1.2.2017. Photographs of marriage are Annexure P-4. In view of the prayer made by the learned counsel for the petitioners, but without expressing any opinion on the validity of marriage of petitioners, petition is disposed of with direction to Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana to look into the representation dated 01.02.2017 Sachin Mehta 2017.02.09 14:37 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document HIGH COURT, CHANDIGARH
